Changes to the MSDNAA for MIS Students for Fall 2007 E-mail
Written by Administrator
This year all MIS undergraduate (official majors only) and MIS graduate students have automatic access to MSDN AA/Microsoft software. MSDN AA, the Microsoft Developers Network Academic Alliance, is a subscription, purchased by the MIS department and entitles all MIS faculty, staff, and employees to have access to a variety of Microsoft software, such as operating systems, applications, servers, and development tools. This is the first semester in which MIS majors will not need to explicitly register to participate.

FOR RETURNING MIS STUDENTS

If you have participated in the MIS Department's MSDN AA subscription previously, you should be able to use your old password. If you have forgotten your password, you can retrieve your MSDN AA password by following these steps:

  1. Go to the MSDN AA hosting site: http://msdn05.e-academy.com/arizona_mis
  2. Click on the "Log In" button (left)
  3. Click on the link titled "Click here for a reminder" (right)
  4. In the username field, enter your official U of A email address and submit
Your password should be sent to you shortly after.

FOR NEW MIS STUDENTS

If you are a new student to the MIS department or have not previously participated in the U of A MIS subscription to MSDN AA, you should expect an email from Microsoft's software hosting company, e-academy.com. Your password will be included in this email.

If you have not received an email from e-academy.com, it might be that your email has not yet been updated in University system or you have not created an email address yet. Please allow for 1-2 business days after creating your University email address before sending a support request.

FOR NON-MIS MAJORS TAKING AN MIS CLASS

If you are registered for an MIS course but not an MIS major, you are also eligible to participate in the MSDN AA program for the MIS Department. However, you will still need to register for access through the Hoffman Lab Registration System by clicking on the "Registration" link at the top of the lab website

If you have any questions or problems with accessing the MSDN AA/Microsoft software, please contact the Hoffman Lab support via email ( This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it ) or via the support link at the top of the Hoffman E-Commerce Lab website.
